Summer Is Gone

I made this book for people who love comic books and manga. This book is made for someone who would like to start drawing. For someone who like to adapt inking ass a part of their work flow, or inking their own comic-art but don't know where to begin.

Freehand inking is difficult and a lot of people are afraid of using ink. Because there is no undo button, you can't erase a line. You start doubting yourself and the doubt is visible in the trace of the pen. The best way to draw a tapered line is by using a brush-tipped ink pen. Tapering line and hatching are general drawing techniques that you can try with any pen. You can practice drawing with a pencil first. And for beginners I recommend sketching with pencils before inking.

What does hatching mean and how do I draw hatching?

Hatching is a drawing technique where the form is created by using parallel lines. In its simplest form, it involves drawing lines on paper that eventually come together to form an image. You will be amazed at how simple the concept is, yet how complex the results can be when using just these drawing techniques.

The illustrations in the book are inspired by my acrylic painting "Summer is Gone." The painting was created when I noticed the trees growing in my yard, dressed in a colorful blanket of autumn.
