The Author grew up in Nakkula Peasant Heritage farm located in Keminmaa, Finland along the famous European Salmon rich Kemijoki River. The Subject of this and other two Nakkula story books published by Dr. Kauppi is about Nakkula history and culture of the place of his upbringing.

Dr. Kauppi educational and professional background is truly international. He completed a Mechanical Trade School in the city of Kemi, Finland. Thereafter, he obtained Diploma in the Mechanical Engineering in Finland, and Pulp and Paper Engineering Degree in Sweden. He further continued his studies to receive MSc in Engineering and PhD Degree in the Management Engineering in the United States.

In Finland and in Canada he worked for well-known machinery and technology companies and several international consulting engineering firms as a Design Engineer and the Chief Project Engineer. He has been the development leader of new pulp and paper mill projects in China, Argentina and Thailand. He has been involved in major projects in Nigeria, Turkey, India, Malaysia and other Asian countries. He has published numerous articles in leading international trade magazines and served as an editorial adviser for the Paper Trade Journal Magazine, Chicago, United States. He is well familiar of many different cultures.

He has also developed patents and written several other books such as the International Development Management, A Broad Sector View in the Global Economy. A book titled Foreign Production Project Planning in The Real World, Changed Project Development World was also published by Dr. Kauppi.
