The interface is only the visible part. The real product is the capability behind it. APIs changed how organizations expose functions and data. AI, automation, SaaS, and ecosystems have multiplied choices and made consequences harder to govern.
Beyond the API Economy offers a practical way to decide what capability is actually needed, who should own it, and how to productize it across APIs, integrations, automation, and AI.
USE THIS BOOK TO - frame business needs before choosing technology - make build, buy, and partner decisions by capability layer - connect product, architecture, delivery, and governance - design interfaces and integrations around consumer outcomes - allocate responsibility between people, workflow, and Al - turn governance into a continuous evidence loop
For product managers, enterprise architects, IT leaders, developers and capability owners working across organizational and technical boundaries.
